Volunteer At Camp Allendale

Each year, Camp Allendale is blessed to be supported by over 900 volunteers who help us fulfill our mission of Engaging People with the Living God. We invite you to bring your unique talents and interests to our ministry of Christian camping! There are many ways to serve, and we’d love to help you find the right fit. Spring Serve Days & Facilities Volunteers

Camp Allendale spans 200 acres with 38 buildings, 10 shelters, and miles of trails—all of which require ongoing care. Providing a safe, interactive, and fun environment is a core value, and volunteers play a vital role in making that possible.

We host volunteer Serve Days in late spring, typically the last two Saturdays in April and the first two Saturdays in May. We also welcome help year-round with projects like mowing, grounds cleanup, tree removal, and building upkeep. Every hour served directly impacts the lives of kids who come to Camp Allendale every summer.

Check In & Check Out Volunteers

Opening day of camp is an exciting time, and we’d love your help! Volunteers assist with camper check-in by taking temperatures, answering questions, directing traffic, and welcoming campers with a big smile.

Help is needed from 4:30–6:15 PM on most Sundays in June and July, with additional opportunities throughout the summer to assist with check-out.

Food Service Volunteers

Kitchen Volunteers support our summer camp by assisting with food prep, dining hall setup, dishwashing, and meal service. These roles are invaluable during the busy summer months.

Volunteers can serve during a morning shift (9:30 AM–1:30 PM) or an afternoon shift (2:30–6:30 PM)—you choose the day and time that works best for you. Sign up today to help keep the camp running smoothly!

Summer Camp Volunteers

Each summer, Camp Allendale relies on more than 900 volunteers to serve as cabin supervisors, small group leaders, and mentors for campers in 1st–12th grade. These volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and faith-centered camp experience.
All volunteer faculty must complete a criminal background check and agree to the camp’s Statement of Faith and Practice, Code of Conduct, and Faculty Guidelines.
