Camp Missionaries
Each summer we feature a different missionary at Allendale Christian Camp and Retreat Center. Campers hear from these extraordinary people about the work being done through their mission organization to help the hurting and bring the gospel to all corners of the earth. It also gives campers a chance to contribute financially to the work of these missions. Below you can read about the missionaries from past years.
His Eyes is a Christian ministry based primarily in and around Tegucigalpa, Honduras, with the mission of seeing the world “the way Jesus does” by addressing both spiritual and physical needs. What began in 1994 as a mobile medical clinic has grown into a multifaceted ministry that provides affordable healthcare through its expanding clinic, plants and supports churches, distributes clothing, provides scholarships, operates the Milk Project for children and families in need, supports coffee farming and employment, and hosts short-term mission teams. Through each of these ministries, His Eyes seeks to demonstrate Christ’s love while building relationships and sharing the Gospel, with the ultimate goal of reaching more people for Christ in Honduras and around the world.
We are excited to have the Colby family back at Allendale as our summer missionaries for 2027!
Past Missionaries
2026 - Training Tomorrow's Leaders
Since 1991, Training Tomorrow's Leaders has been involved in recruiting, training, encouraging, and financially supporting indigenous churches in West Africa. This has been in partnership with churches in the United States and other parts of the world who are part of the Restoration Movement.
Our mission began with the efforts of David and Barbara Kalb, who spent almost 40 years in Ghana, Africa, helping train and recruit church planters and sending them to unreached groups to plant New Testament churches. Our first church planter was sent out in 1991; since that time, over 50 men have been sent out after being trained and financially supported in partnership with our supporting churches. On average, close to 800 baptisms are officiated from these tribes every year. Training Tomorrow's Leaders is currently in three West African countries. With over 100 churches in Ghana, 25 churches in Togo, and two churches in Burkina Faso. Using both literal and non-literal methods, our church planters seek out villages in some of the world's poorest countries to share the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. T.T.L. has four core areas: Church planting, Training and Discipleship, Community Development, and Children's Ministry.
